Detective Clues: Solve the Mystery in the Puzzle Worksheet

The detective clues activity takes a bit of preparation beforehand to make it a success. Before class, the teacher prints out the puzzle worksheet and cuts out each clue. Next, the teacher hangs up each clue on the walls.

When students enter class, the teacher assigns students into groups of four. While one student is the secretary, the other three are detectives. Next, students walk around the classroom searching for clues. After the detectives find each clue, they memorize it and report it to the secretary in English. When they return to the secretary, the secretary writes down the clue.

After the detectives collect all the clues, each group has to solve the puzzle worksheet. Below the activity sheet, we’ve provided answers to the worksheet.

  1. The answer is wrong….Bob is 40 and Edward is 35 because it said Edward is to the left “of Bob” so we have to see bobs perspective…In that way the red guy is Bob and the other is Edward.
