We practice minimal pairs with a listening test. First, students listen to the teacher’s pronunciation for each minimal pair. Next, the student adds a check mark for the correct word.
When speaking in English, it’s helpful to know how native speakers use their mouth. For example, the tip of the tongue goes in between the teeth for the /TH/ sound. But not for the /S/ sound.
